rumorsville: pamela anderson and billy ray cyrus coming to 'chicago the musical' [theater]

two of the '90s biggest are making their way to the great white way.
i'm hearing word that both pamela anderson and billy ray cyrus will be heading to chicago in the next few months, starring as roxie and billy, respectively. don't worry - anderson and cyrus won't be sharing the same stage (that would be tragic). anderson is set to come after current chicago headliner christie brinkley's departure. cyrus, presumably, will follow.
(sidenote: this won't be the first time anderson spent some time at chicago. she visited brinkley last april during brinkley's initial broadway run as roxie. rumors were she might join back then, but the timing wasn't right. my source says this summer's run is a done deal though.)
chicago is currently the third longest running broadway show of all time - and a lot of its success over the past 14 years can be traced back to its constant stunt casting. sometimes, that stunt casting actually turns out a great performance (wayne brady, michael c. hall, gretchen mol). most of the time, that stunt casting leads to train wreck performances (one needn't look further than brinkley for proof, but it'll be fun to name others: melanie griffith, ashlee simpson, michelle williams, robin givens, joey lawrence, lisa rinna, harry hamlin, jerry springer, etc).
me thinks pamela anderson and billy ray cyrus might fall on the "train wreck performances" side. sure, they've both had singing experience (billy ray's obvious, but pam's sung too, see?). and they've both danced too, as competitors on abc's dancing with the stars. but i don't think either can act his/her way out of a paper bag. i almost want to see it for myself!
anyway, we'll wait for official word from the chicago folks. but in the meantime, any thoughts on the casting?
and p to the s: do you know how excruciating it was to find a photo of pamela anderson where she wasn't a) on a red carpet or b) half naked? or to find a photo of billy ray cyrus without miley in it? i deserve an award for making that image!
